Wanderlust Mondays: Seychelles

This post is part of a series I do every Monday on the blog. Featuring the destinations that I’m diggin’ these days and so should you! Read all my Wanderlust Mondays posts here and kick the ugly Monday blues away!

I was very close to ending this series on the blog, when it suddenly struck me that I haven’t really completed my list of places I want to see, Seychelles being on top of that list. (Also, Monday struck me hard and I needed my regular dose of wanderlust).

Seychelles as been on my radar since forever. It offers visa on arrival to most nationalities so its a piece of cake to fly there. I’ve been exploring stuff to do there on Youtube and it’s giving me those paradise like feels! While some people compare Seychelles to Maldives as both are a sort of archipelago, I’m sure there are tons of new things to explore here. It’s a heaven for people looking to disconnect from their routines and spend a few days slumbering along side an idyllic beach lined with green hills and turquoise waters.

Here are some things I’d like to explore while in Seychelles. Follow me as I explore the place from the comfort of my bed! 😀

Explore the Picturesque Beaches of La Digue Island

La Digue beaches have these quirky granite rock formations and it is said that this place houses the world’s best beaches! I guess, it’s a must-visit kind of place now and must be treat to photograph!

Rent a Car and Explore Mahe Island

Most blogs recommend going about Seychelles by renting a car as it is cheaper than a taxi (Wow!). I’m sure it must be fun to drive around such a pretty town!

Visit Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve on Praslin Island

This is a forest which is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the only two sites producing the Coco de Mer palm tree. I challenge you to google about this and learn why it’s so special :p

Honeymoon Like George Clooney on North Island

Well, they had a wedding in Venice after which they wanted to “de-stress” in Seychelles (huh!). The honeymoon costed around £47,000 and rumour has it that the Duke and Dutchess of Cambridge have also once been hosted on this private island, so maybe I can imagine myself staying here only in my dreams. As an alternate option, you could stay in a cheaper hotel or maybe go for an airbnb :p

See the Giant Aldabra Tortoises on Curieuse Island

They are said to be roaming freely everywhere in Seychelles or living a happy life in conservation areas. They are cute and friendly and would love to hear your travel stories.

Until next time, lovelies.
